Song Info

Title:

GeekSpeak Street (Beatnik Turtle Music/Lockhart)

Related:

BoardGameGeek, Songs About Games

Lyrics:

Picture a place
Out in cyberspace
Where the pieces are all on the board

Rolling the dice
Not once, but thrice
Like taking a blow to the gourd

Things are not what they seem
Come, you'll see what I mean

Down at GeekSpeak Street
That's where we'll meet
Down at GeekSpeak Street
Today

Down at GeekSpeak Street
That's where we'll meet
Down at GeekSpeak Street
Today, today, today, today

Down at GeekSpeak Street (Everybody come on now)
That's where we'll meet (Come on and join the crowd)
Down at GeekSpeak Street (Everybody come on down)
Today, today, today, today

Song Notes:

Written for BoardGameGeek's GeekSpeak podcast. This one was written for the "Rejected GeekSpeak Theme Songs" segment that aired on a variety of GeekSpeaks. Unfortunately, the show had to change it's name from GeekSpeak to "BoardGameSpeak" for a variety of reasons and this song never aired. That is, until Beatnik Turtle did a half-hour "Tribute To GeekSpeak" podcast after Derk and Aldie announced the show was ending.
