Lyrics:
Anna Lee's gotta feed the machine Now that nothing is left in accounts overseas So she's hitting the dives every Tuesday at five Another face on the news, another negative you
Take what you need, cut them off at the knees When you got as many keys as enemies There's a good reason why you give your piece of the pie To a similar guy to what you see on TV
I was right and you were green Just before the final scene With that money in your hand And your numbers in demand
You won't allow what you did before now But you survived it somehow and with steely resolve And a bent garden rake and some roots that won't take You are exempt from the rule about money and fools
Don't you think there's a reason why people will pay the fee? They must know more than you or me
I was right and you were green Just before the final scene With that money in your hand And your numbers in demand
Upside down, in between Thinking you know what it means Just before the final scene Just before the final scene
